“ Just got back from a short break in the area and a google search for local dog friendly breakfast places brought this gem up! We hadn’t made a reservation as we had no idea how popular the place was but luckily we managed to get in as a couple were just leaving. We both had the full English breakfast with toast and some coffee. It was honestly the best English breakfast we have ever tried and we enjoyed it that much we came back the following day to try more as all the food looked so good. I had the blueberry pancakes and my husband had the eggs Benedict which were again outstanding. The pot of tea for two was also well enjoyed. It is definitely the busiest place we have ever been for breakfast and was fully booked both times. We actually tried to book in again the following day but they were already fully booked with the lady saying Friday is their busiest day. It clearly has a great reputation and for good reason as it really is a lovely little eatery with excellent food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. We felt very comfortable with our large dog despite it being very busy and all the staff made a fuss of him. I would recommend booking in well in advance to make sure you can get in and get the time a lot you want as the amount of people they had to turn away both times we came was crazy. We highly recommend and will definitely be back if we are ever in Stanford again! ”
“ Met a friend here for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful. Great choice on the menu plus a specials board. We hadn’t booked but waited a few minutes for a table and they were able to seat us. Will be returning! Thank you! ”
“ A lovely little restaurant/cafe in a side street in Stamford. The staff were very nice, efficient and friendly, and a good communication between all of them! I asked one person for a side salad and within minutes someone else brought it to me, the lentil burger was tasty and the texture was pleasant, the only thing I would say, it was a tad too golden. The chips light and fluffy and the side salad fresh and very well seasoned. Altogether a great experience and I will certainly come back. ”
“ Really nice food all round and worth the money. It was busy but the food came quickly and was good quality. Only nitpick is the sandwiches could have done with a bit more filling. Overall really good and definitely worth it. ”
“ Amazing service and quick too despite them being incredibly busy. If you want their specials you have to get there quick as it is first come first served. The food was very nice although the sandwich could have had more filling in my opinion however I love the fact you could choose which bread you wanted from white, brown, sourdough (which I had) etc, absolutely would come again. ”
“ we have eaten here 5 or 6 times, mostly for lunch or lat breakfast. they do great food and it is probably the best lunch / cafe in Stamford. Fresh ingredients and good everytime. do wine also!! ”
“ Lovely cafe tucked away down a quiet lane. We had cakes and coffee which were excellent, the brunch options looked very nice. Friendly and efficient service. ”
“ My friend and I visited Lamberts of Stamford for brunch recently and were so impressed from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and full of charm — it has that perfect mix of relaxed and refined that makes you instantly feel at ease. The menu had a great variety, with something to suit every taste, and the food itself was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the ingredients and the overall experience. The staff were lovely too — friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do, which just added to the positive vibe. All in all, a really wonderful spot for brunch (or any meal, I’m sure!) and somewhere I’ll definitely be returning to. A true gem in Stamford! ”
